Mini Road Trip

Today I had to travel to the big city of Jackson, MS for work. I visited about 6 bridal shops and 3 travel agencies passing out brochures and spreading the word on our resort. While driving to Jackson, I passed several flea markets and thrift stores that I must go to if I was to have time on my way home. I was able to stop at a couple flea markets and purchased my first piece of pyrex :) I was pretty excited about this find. The blue piece is what I found at the flea market and the yellow piece is what I found at my grandma's house tonight. I say today was pretty successful!!

How does my garden grow??

I am walking on new territory and its pretty fun!! About a month ago I decided I would plant a small little salad garden from seeds. I never thought those tiny little seeds would actually become green and amount to something. Well especially with me taking care of them. I guess you could say I was not born with a green thumb. But I'm learning. I wish I would have taken pictures weekly because its quite amazing how quick they grow over night. Here are some things that I'm growing...

Maybe if all goes well, we will have fresh salad in a month or 2.

Conner has been wanting a water fountain, so I am on a mission to find one that would fit our back patio area.

 Outdoor lighting is a love of mine. I would love to add some latterns or strands of lights to our patio area

Saturday was very busy for us!!! Conner ran his 1/2 mile race Saturday morning and did soo good. I was a very proud mom. After the race, Baby Grayson had his BIG 1 Birthday Party. There was a jump and slide so Conner had plenty of things to keep him entertained. At about 5:30 that afternoon, Conner told me he had to use the bathroom. After leaving him alone for 5 min, this is what I came in and saw...

Bless his precious heart!! I have never seen him this tired. He actually did not wake up until the next morning.

Hello Bloggers!!

Its been a long time since I've blogged. I have not had much time to do anything since the weather has been so pretty. I have mainly been playing outside and working in the flower beds. And Couponing...My new love!! I still love my running hobby and in fact I have just completed my 2nd 1/2 marathon!! WOOOHOOO!! But this is something very rewarding as well, saving money!! I have cut my grocery bill down to 50-60%. This has helped us in so many ways. I have also planted a cute little salad garden. Pictures will come soon.
Conner has been enjoying the warmer weather which means he is acting a lot better!! (at least when we are at home and by our selves) As long as he is outside he is happy!! He does have a big attitude problem that we just can not get rid off :( My thoughts on this.... "Why does my child not mind me?? , Why is he sooo mean to younger kids????, when will he learn to share his things with his little cousins?? , And how do we get rid of the ATTITUDE??? " I feel like all I do is yell at him and everyone else too when he is around his little cousins. He's very hard headed and stubborn. I love him with every ounce of love I have and pray daily for him and our relationship.

Conner had a blast opening his gifts and I was able to capture all of this on camera and video (which I will post later). Since I was the one videoing and snapping away, there were no pictures of me :) I will share a some pics of the gifts I received. I must say that I am beyond thankful for each and every gift!!

Jody had purchased me a new lense but after playing with it over the holidays I decided that I really did not need it so I took it back and purchased this wonderful Keurig!! It was well worth the exchange!
