lots going on and lots to be thankful for
I am the type of person that likes to have things planned out. This is the way I wanted the next 5 years to pan out. I would get pregnant in December, Jody graduates in May, either get a job then or stat grad school, have baby in September and save, save save for the next 2 1/2 years. Then buy a new house that would maybe be our permnant home. That sounds like a great plan to me. Well, all of this was being planned out in my head and I was forgetting to ask God if this was his plan for us. This past month, Jody was sent to the ER, almost had to drop out of school and all of this has made me realize that I can not plan out our lives, God has already planned it out and has a way better plan. I just do not see it yet. With all that has happened, I can say that it has brought us closer together as a family. I am trying really hard not to think about the future and only look at today.
Things I am thankful for:
Our God who is sooo big
My little family
Our health (even though Jody has had some health problems, he is on the road to recovery)
extended family
Our church and for the messages that John brings.
Our house ( I would love to have a bigger, newer house right now, but am very thankful for the house we have)
will have to finish this up another time. Its Monday and even though they are usually pretty gloomy, I have a feeling this one will be pretty awesome!!

Swamp Tour
We were so busy this weekend but had so much fun. Friday night was laid back. We ended up grilling steaks and shooting the bb gun in the back yard. Yes, that is so Mississippi of us. It was Conner's first time to shoot a gun and he is totally hooked. He actually hit the target a couple of times. Saturday we went on a Swamp tour with my cousin and his little girl. Conner and Abigail had fun fighting over the alligator. All in all this was a great weekend.

Jason Aldean Concert and first Outfit Post
Wow!! What a crazy day! Back in July for my birthday, my sister gave me a ticket to see Jason Aldean in concert. This is by far one of my favorite country music artist!! So yesterday me and my sister made the drive down to Gulf Shores to see him. What an amazing concert!! We were on the floor right by the stage. There were 10,000 seats and they sold 11,800 so everything was a little crowed.
Below is my outfit I wore.

Belt: Target
Jewelry: Forever 21
Boots: Borrowed

Weekend Plans
I have a weekend full of excitement planned! My orginal plans were to go camping tonight but since Jody has to be at work at 7am on Saturday morning, those plans did not work out. While Jody is at work Saturday morning, I do plan on going to some yard sales. If you know of any good ones, please let me know :) I love going through someone elses junk and finding something I find useful or unique at a dirt cheap price. Saturday afternoon we are going to see Lion King. This was one of my favorite movies growing up and can't wait to take Conner to see it in 3d :) And my favorite part of the weekend... Acting like a fool at the Jason Aldean Concert. There is something about live music that makes me go a little crazy. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Chocolate cake waffle hearts!!
I have seen several times on Pinterest where people use cake batter in their waffle maker. Well, I thought today was the perfect day to try and fill my sweet tooth with this idea! What a huge success! They were quick, easy and wonderful!!!
Now trying to decide what I want to do for the weekend?? Jody and I were thinking of going to New Orleans Friday night for our anniversary and getting up early and doing a little site seeing. But after this wonderful weather we are having, I have a little camping fever! I'm thinking it would lovely to just relax under the stars!! What are your weekend plans??
